The Container Welder/Fabricator repairs, paints, and performs maintenance on containers and roll‑off boxes. This role ensures that all units remain functional and meet safety standards.
The position involves welding steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC equipment, fabricating and cutting steel parts with brakes, shears, and plasma cutters, and installing lids, wheels, and decals on containers. The incumbent also paints repaired units, follows safety policies, completes required paperwork, and escalates complex repairs to a supervisor.
Candidates must be certified welders with advanced knowledge of MIG, stick welding, plasma cutting, and airless paint spraying, as well as proficiency with hand tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are required. Applicants should have at least one year of welding experience or have completed a welding program.
