Supervisor Locating
Utiliquest, Llc
Provider of underground utility damage‑prevention and facility‑locating services to gas, electric and telecom industries.
Supervise a utility locating team, ensure safety, training, and client relations.
Conduct audits on field personnel to ensure quality standards are being met.
Completes and maintains all training
Collaborate with the HR and Talent Acquisition Team to identify staffing needs, interview and make final hiring decisions.
Assist Technicians with locating difficult to find utilities.
The employee shall follow all safety rules at all times
Drive safely and follow company safe driving policies
Conduct daily and weekly planning meetings to ensure quality control is in place.
Develops, mentor and evaluate technicians and has the overall responsibility for employee engagement and morale.
Maintain punctuality and attendance at all shifts and training sessions
Assist Center Manager in identifying strengths and weaknesses of Damage Prevention Technicians.
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture for all employees.
Build and supervise a team of Damage Prevention Technicians who are driven and understand the key performance indicators and economic engines of the business.
Conduct performance reviews and provides regular performance feedback and development opportunities for technicians
Complete JSO’s (Job Safety Observations) of technicians
Operate company vehicles in a safe manner and maintain a professional appearance
Perform work in all weather conditions, during normal and after hours
Create and maintain good working relationships with clients, excavators, regulators, employees, and the public

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skill.
High school diploma or GED required.
Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of utility mapping, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Will need to have the ability to work a flexible schedule (some evenings and weekends) as needed.
One year or more of proven experience in utility locating or a similar field, with proven high quality results.
Hearing and speaking to exchange information
Regular use of hands and fingers to operate specialized equipment and tools
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally; bending at the waist; standing and or walking for extended periods of time
Willingness to do overnight travel as needed. (up to 50%)
Ability to deliver effective field training programs.
Ticket production and weekend work required, as needed.
