Prepare and file US tax returns, assist with research and client communication.

Tasks

Assist with tax research and consulting projects. Remain current with federal and state tax law changes. Become oriented with Firm's practices, policies, and culture. Candidates should be prepared to commit additional hours during these periods to ensure timely and accurate deliverables. Prepare U.S. individual, corporation, partnership, fiduciary and other tax returns. Responsible for the completion of tax returns under supervision. Communicate with senior associates, managers, senior managers, and partners on status of projects. Communicate with clients regarding tax return information and status.

What You Bring

Strong organizational skill and attention to detail. Actively working toward education and requirements for CPA certification. Understanding of state and federal taxes. Broad exposure to federal income taxation and knowledge of tax regulations. A Successful Candidate Will Possess The Following Basic Qualifications Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. 0-2 years of professional experience, preferably in public accounting. Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel). Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. A Successful Candidate Will Possess the Following Advanced Qualifications Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines. Become familiar with IRC sections and regulations.
