Support the development, implementation, and tracking of community investment projects, including proposals co-created with local stakeholders.
Monitor the ever-changing regulatory climate in the countries which CG operates and ensure that all stakeholders are aware of changes which could impact on the business.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Environmental, Legal, Construction, Procurement, Operations, etc.) to align social activities with project timelines and operational needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, indigenous groups, public institutions, and other regional stakeholders.
Support investigation of community-related incidents and assurance programs for community engagement processes.
Develop training materials to raise community management awareness and sustainability practices.
Within your region, monitor and report on community-related risks, opportunities and potential conflicts, complaints and grievances, including early warning alerts, and support mitigation strategies and conflict resolution initiatives.
Support due diligence process, as well as the engagement with external developers to agree on specific studies and activities in case of co-development projects.
Develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with a variety of external and internal stakeholders, aiding them in improving the consistency and quality of Community Engagement performance.
Social and Environmental Obligations register and ensure all permit conditions, legal requirements, community agreements, and social obligations/risks/opportunities are identified, escalated where required, recorded and managed.
Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for both internal and external audiences, including regulatory compliance reporting.
Support local and regional legal teams in assessing potential compliance issues relating to community relations activities with national/international legislation and ContourGlobal’s governance.
Oversight of data quality and completeness, for use in development of targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and for inputs into reporting and disclosure requirements (e.g. Annual Sustainability Reporting).
Stakeholder mapping, field diagnostics, and regular community perception assessments.
Development and implementation of risk management processes, including risk registers to track and assess risks and controls, and allow for global aggregation.
Facilitation of participatory processes such as consultations, workshops, and community meetings to ensure inclusive engagement and mutual understanding.
Support local and regional teams across the operational lifecycle (from M&A through construction, into operations, closure, and divestment) in establishing processes to develop, implement, and track the following community engagement activities:

IT: Strong presentation preparation and computer skills, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Power BI, and experience with community engagement tracking platforms.
A detail-oriented approach to your work with the ability to process large volumes of data and translate it into meaningful items.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Social Performance Management, Community Relations, or a related discipline. A professional designation such as Canadian Certified Inclusion Professional (CCIP™), Certified Community Manager (CCM), or in a related field is preferred.
Superior communication and organizational skills
Travel requirements: this role requires frequent travel (~30%).
