You will support data‑center startups, conduct mechanical, electrical, and control checks on‑site, and lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems in industries such as food and beverage. Partnering with automation and controls engineers, you’ll test, troubleshoot, and validate their systems while keeping customers and project teams informed with clear updates. Travel rotations follow patterns like 5 on‑2 off, 10 on‑4 off, or 14 on‑7 off, giving you exposure to varied projects and large‑scale companies backed by ProAutomated support.
We’re opening our 2026 hiring pipeline for curious, adaptable problem‑solvers who love travel, hands‑on work, and a team that knows your name. If you can laugh through flight delays, figure things out on the fly, and enjoy solving complex problems, you may be a perfect fit. Our four‑week paid training prepares technically skilled individuals for field work and requires a basic foundation in electrical systems, programming, and communication networking.
The position requires the ability to walk long distances across large facilities, climb ladders or work at heights, lift and move up to 50 lb, and stand, kneel, or reach for extended periods. You must be comfortable working in diverse environments such as construction sites, outdoors, and hot or cold conditions. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
The role combines work and travel, allowing you to experience new cities while delivering projects for customers across North America. Compensation starts at $60,000‑$75,000 plus per‑diem, mileage reimbursement, utilization and weekend bonuses, and a 5 % salary increase after six months. Benefits include health, dental, life insurance, a matching 401(k), short‑ and long‑term disability, paid vacation, and flexible time off after 18 months. You’ll also join a people‑first company where teamwork, adaptability, and humor are core values.
If you’re ready for a challenging, travel‑filled career where your effort truly matters, we’d love to meet you. ProAutomated is an equal‑opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and respect for all team members.
