Collaborative and supportive teamwork is vital to our success, and you will work closely with the rest of the groundwater resources team sometimes delegating to, reviewing the work of and mentoring more junior staff.
You will also work collaboratively with other technical disciplines in the Water Management Consultancy team and beyond, delivering a range of projects relating to water supply, strategic planning, resource optimization and environmental assessment.
You will work with our hydrogeologist technical leads and other technical disciplines in winning, delivering and managing our portfolio of groundwater projects and developing trusted client relationships.

You will be able to communicate effectively at all levels to support collaborative working and the building of high-quality client relationships.
Your experience will include water resources hydrogeology and hydrology, for example Water Industry National Environment Programme investigations (low flow, Water Framework Directive No Deterioration or Environmental Destination, catchment water quality), signal and pumping tests, borehole design, groundwater flooding or water resource planning.
You will be highly motivated and proactive and enjoy solving challenging water resources problems within a high achieving team environment.
You will have valid full UK driving license.
You will have experience of leading project tasks and possibly entire projects through problem definition, data collection, analysis, interpretation and drawing succinct conclusions and recommendations.
You will have excellent numerical, analytical, report-writing and presentational skills and an eye for detail.
You are likely to undertake and delegate complex problem solving that may include data gathering and processing, calculations and modelling, conceptualization, reporting, proposal writing and costing.
You will have demonstrable experience as a hydrogeologist within consultancy, water company, regulator or academic fields.
You will have a good understanding of UK hydrogeology and of the operational and environmental regulatory framework of UK water management.
With a degree in science, engineering or mathematics and a post-graduate qualification in hydrogeology or a related subject, you are likely to be chartered through a relevant professional body.
