Senior Commercial Manager - (Nuclear New Build)

Description

• Construction Milestones: installation of the first reactor dome and delivery of major components such as steam generators.
• Deal with a high number of compensation events under NEC3 Option A & C, assessing entitlement, cost validation and internal governance.
• Provide commercial and contractual subject‑matter expertise to the balance of plant delivery team.
• Support commercial managers on key contractual risk and governance procedures.
• Produce, analyse and present financial, contractual and commercial data to internal project teams.
• Coordinate with change, cost, risk and schedule teams to ensure coherent and consistent project progress.
• Manage the financial and commercial success of a portfolio of varied and complex contracts, negotiating key commercial events from inception to implementation.
• Implement all commercial and financial governance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with the EPR‑E information management system (IMS), rules and procedures, maintaining contracts within delegation of authority and overall governance assurance.

• Two EPR Reactors: two European Pressurised Reactors delivering a total output of 3,200 MW, enough for around six million homes.
• Zero‑Carbon Electricity: designed to produce zero‑carbon power, supporting the UK's greenhouse‑gas reduction efforts.
• Effective commercial and contract management skills with clear knowledge of best‑practice contract methodologies.
• Strong understanding of contract performance measurement, risk management and change and claim management.
• Highly developed commercial skills and ability to make sound decisions on matters of significant financial value.
• Confidence in managing NEC contracts, experience with FIDIC in power construction, and knowledge of UK law relevant to contract and commercial functions.
• Prior experience on NEC contracts for large construction projects (desirable).
• Familiarity with nuclear site licence conditions, nuclear baseline philosophy and the UK regulatory framework (beneficial).
