What you would be doing

- Operate and fine-tune Microsoft Sentinel for threat detection, incident response, and SIEM/SOAR use cases.
- Support ITGC and SOX control testing activities, ensuring audit-ready evidence is maintained.
- Integrate security tools with ticketing and compliance platforms (Freshservice, HighBond, etc.).
- Collaborate with IT teams on secure configurations, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
- Build and manage security dashboards, alerts, and automated responses (KQL queries, playbooks, automation rules).
- Configure, monitor, and manage Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Identity, Office, Cloud Apps) to detect and respond to threats.
- Conduct periodic user access reviews, segregation of duties checks, and system configuration reviews.
- Assist in maintaining ISO 27001 security controls, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Implement conditional access, MFA, endpoint compliance policies, and identity protection in Entra ID.
- Lead root cause analysis of security incidents and recommend mitigation/prevention measures.
- Work with global IT and business stakeholders to remediate threats and strengthen controls.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience writing KQL queries for Sentinel or Defender.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Conditional Access, and M365 security ecosystem.
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
- Familiarity with SIEM, SOAR, and endpoint protection workflows.
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOX, ISO 27001, or CIS benchmarks.
- 3–6 years of experience in IT Security, with at least 2 years in a role using Microsoft Defender and/or Microsoft Sentinel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200)
- Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator (SC-400)
