  • Support repair process qualifications and work with engineering partners to support repair standardization and industrialization.
  • Act as the technical focal point for the disposition of component repair Departure Records (DRs) related to your assigned components.
  • Support engineering and business partners to ensure that newly developed repair processes, procedures, limits, etc. are properly incorporated into appropriate shop, vendor, and engineering manuals & documents.
  • Participate as a presenter in technical and/or program reviews.
  • Develop and industrialize Aero Gas Turbine component repairs.
  • Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects/tasks in line with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Develop repair procedures and inspection methods.
  • Provide oversight and direction for the creation of component CAD models, drawings, and specifications for gas turbine components.
  • Design analysis and evaluation of assigned engine components to ensure their operational life and substantiate the define repairability limits.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • Gas turbine design knowledge/background.
  • The role may require travel up to 20% to internal and external repair vendor sites
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative team skills. Ability to connect effectively with a broad group of stakeholders.
  • Experience with inspection technologies, including FPI, X-Ray, and Eddy Current.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with repair special processes, including welding, brazing, thermal spray, heat treat, machining, blending, coating, and surface treatments.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in, with, and/or supporting a manufacturing, Services, repair, or design environment
  • Strong mechanical design and analytical background
