As a mechanic at WM, you will maintain and repair trucks and equipment that serve over 20 million customers across North America. You’ll use modern tools and procedures to service diesel and, at some locations, CNG trucks, ensuring each vehicle leaves the shop ready to support the local community.
Candidates must hold a valid truck and coach mechanic licence, have at least two years of relevant experience, and possess a clean driver’s licence. You must be over 18, legally eligible to work in Canada, able to meet the physical demands of the role, and pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination.
WM thrives on team players who care about their coworkers, enjoy both independent and collaborative work, and welcome the daily variety and challenges that come with the job. Determined problem‑solvers who are adaptable and proactive are a perfect fit for this environment.
The role requires frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing, and constant standing, walking, and grasping, with occasional sitting and balancing. You will be exposed to occupational risks such as cuts, burns, and chemicals, as well as environmental conditions like dirt, noise, weather extremes, and both indoor and outdoor work settings.
Are you seeking a safer work environment as a mechanic, valuing your family’s financial security, and looking to advance your career? WM offers a workplace that prioritizes employee well‑being and provides a clear path for professional growth.
At WM, you’ll receive a competitive starting pay of $42.97 per hour, a $10,000 sign‑on bonus, and stable hours that support financial stability. The company also provides uniforms, personal protective equipment, and a comprehensive health package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, pension, and more.
