Calibration Technician

Description

The Calibration Technician supports day‑to‑day verification, calibration, and repair of instrumentation across Redwood's Battery Materials Campus in McCarran, Nevada. The role ensures accurate record keeping for ISO certification and serves production lines, analytical labs, pilot plants, and general services departments. Relocation assistance may be offered based on level and experience.

• Execute calibration, verification, and functional testing in manufacturing and lab environments with traceable documentation.
• Develop and follow calibration methods and troubleshooting procedures for diverse process and analytical instruments.
• Maintain accurate calibration records per ISO 9001, ISO 17025, IATF 16949, and internal quality standards.
• Support production lines, pilot plants, analytical labs, and services by ensuring reliable measurement systems.
• Interpret technical manuals, specifications, and procedures to understand device functionality.
• Learn new instruments and evaluate performance through testing and verification.
• Work independently and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.
• Keep accurate calibration records within ISO‑regulated quality systems.
• Use computer systems to log calibration results, documentation, and traceability.
• Manage daily workload independently and see jobs through to completion.
• Follow written instructions, prescribed routines, and accepted calibration practices.

Requirements

Physical requirements include wearing Tyvek suits, a powered air‑purifying respirator, and other PPE, working in confined spaces, and accessing elevated work areas using ladders, boom lifts, or scissor lifts. Employees must be able to climb, stand, stoop, type, and lift up to 50 lb while operating specialized machinery.

• Hold certification or degree in Instrumentation Technology, Electrical Systems Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with operators, supervisors, and team members.
