Description

The Service Technician role performs technical and mechanical work to ensure that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality. This includes responding to resident requests, conducting preventive maintenance, and preparing vacant apartments for new move‑ins.

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing in accordance with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant units: conduct pre‑move‑out inspections, create punch lists, schedule vendors, obtain supplies, perform repairs, and inspect completed work.
• Retrieve, track, and manage maintenance supplies and equipment, returning unused items and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑cutting initiatives by repairing parts instead of replacing them, minimizing material waste, and using tools correctly.
• Comply with Greystar safety and risk‑management policies: attend safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report accidents promptly.
• Periodically inspect contractor and vendor work to verify quality, scope, and specifications.
• Conduct routine property inspections to identify safety and risk concerns and communicate physical needs to management.
• Maintain all state and local certifications required for service technicians.

Requirements

• Hold EPA Type I and II (or Universal) certification for refrigerant recycling.
• Possess a valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.

Compensation is hourly at $26.00–$28.00, with eligibility for weekly, monthly or quarterly bonus programs depending on location.
