Tasks

Guided by our value-added approach and bolstered by the latest technologies, tools and engineering techniques, our expert team will support you throughout the project lifecycle, from design to commissioning, completion and aftercare, ensuring complete satisfaction. -Review projects to ensure compliance, completeness, and quality standards are met; prepare detailed reports outlining key findings and recommendations. -Provide technical support to the contracting, commissioning, and facilities services functions, offering practical solutions, troubleshooting assistance, and expert engineering advice. -Apply engineering expertise to review and cross reference project specifications, drawings, and schedules, identifying discrepancies and assessing technical risks. -Mentor and support junior team members, fostering professional growth and learning within a safe and collaborative environment. -Attend client and consultant meetings, present review outcomes effectively, and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.

What You Bring

Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to work on technically complex and high-impact projects? Join our talented Design Team and play a key role in delivering innovative engineering solutions across sectors such as nuclear and pharmaceutical. This is a site based role at Urenco Capenhurst, where you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary and high performing teams. If you’re passionate about electrical engineering, sustainability, and digital innovation, we’d love to hear from you. -IT literate, with proficiency in: Trimble ProDesign/Amtech (preferred), Relux/DiaLux, AutoCAD 2D, Revit, Navisworks (preferred), and Microsoft Office -Experience in a design environment (site construction) -CompEx Ex12 certification and knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR regulations (preferred) -Capable of producing cable calculations, SLDs, block and GA drawings, specifications, datasheets, registers, cable schedules, BoMs, and containment sizing -Basic understanding of HV equipment, transformers, and LV switchgear assemblies -Working knowledge of BS5839 (Fire Alarm Systems) and BS5266 (Emergency Lighting) -Successful candidate Must be willing and eligible to obtain SC security clearance (costs covered by the company)
