The primary objective of this role is to keep residents safe and comfortable. The incumbent will have overall responsibility for maintaining the physical plant, furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E), and grounds in excellent condition. This includes planning, organizing, scheduling, and staffing a broad range of maintenance activities.
Key duties include inspecting facilities and equipment to determine service needs, performing repairs within normal practice, and assigning workers to maintenance, repair, or renovation tasks. The role also involves obtaining and evaluating bids from outside contractors, following and documenting preventative maintenance schedules to control costs, and purchasing building supplies, machinery, equipment, and furniture. Additionally, the employee will prepare evacuation and emergency procedures and perform all maintenance functions both inside and outside the facility.
Candidates must have a technical degree from a two‑year college or vocational school, or an equivalent combination of five years of related experience and training. A working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and heating/air‑conditioning mechanical systems is required, along with at least two years of supervisory experience.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 to $85,000.
