Establish appropriate metrics to track the local success of Industrial Control and Smart Components launches and promotional programs to meet local sales objectives. Take corrective action when necessary to maximize effectiveness
Follow up on all business leads assigned by management, marketing, technical department, or supplier partners
Work with sales to establish joint strategies and activities
Prepare periodic sales funnel, weekly sales reports, etc.
Create and present technical and commercial training for internal and external customers
Work with Purchasing on proper inventory of high-tech products and identify any potential obsolesce problems
Ensure the general sales force (inside and outside) has a base level of Industrial Control and Smart Components expertise necessary to support daily sales activity. Implement local training programs to address areas of need
Describe or demonstrate product to customers
Properly prepare for sales calls, customers events, etc.

Responsible for developing and implementing the Industrial Control and Smart Components portion of the annual business plan in junction with Rockwell Automation and Rexel Leadership. Responsible for achieving the Smart Components sales goals identified in the annual planning process
Ascertain customer needs by customer visits, phone, and other means of research (internet, etc.)
Establish relationships with sales and customers to better understand sales potential
Provide expert knowledge to Inside Sales to facilitate quoting, order entry, and order expediting
Focal point for all communication between Rockwell Automation and Rexel on Intelligent Device Products
Provide technical support for internal and external customers via on-site visit, phone, and email. This could include, but is not limited to troubleshooting products, finding technical documentation and specifications, product selection and, other requested activities
Work with prospective customers to move projects through the sales cycle to conclusion
Responsible for launching new Industrial Control and Smart Components Products to Rexel sales personnel. This includes product training, competency with demo equipment, and target account identification with sales personnel
