Ambient
Ambient is a multidisciplinary consultancy providing tailored solutions across diverse industries.
Perform NEBB-standard testing, adjusting and balancing of HVAC systems.
Stay updated on codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
Verify the functionality of mechanical systems, including VAVs, fans, pumps, and control devices.
Compile detailed reports documenting findings, procedures, and recommendations.
Present clear and concise information to clients and project stakeholders.
Communicate effectively to coordinate project activities and resolve issues.
Utilize specialized instruments to measure airflow, pressures, temperatures, and velocities.
Ensure systems operate efficiently and meet design specifications.
Analyze data to assess system performance and identify discrepancies.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other technicians.
Perform comprehensive testing, adjusting, and balancing of HVAC air and hydronic systems in accordance with NEBB standards.
Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
Accurately record all measurements and observations.

Current NEBB Certification as a TAB Technician is mandatory.

Ability and willingness to learn new skills as technology changes.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PDF editing software (Bluebeam), etc...
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of successfully completed TAB projects.
Willingness to travel to various job sites as required. This position will require travel throughout southern California. Our primary markets are in San Diego, Riverside, Orange and Los Angeles Counties with projects as far away as Idaho on occasion.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends, to meet project deadlines is mandatory.
Proficient in using TAB instruments and equipment.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with building automation systems and controls.
