Assists in the construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of distribution utility power lines.
Assists with installation, operation, maintenance and repair of overhead and underground electrical power lines and systems. Work is generally performed overhead.
Assists with service calls concerning power outages and electrical problems.
Operates motorized equipment, use hand tools, and perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment, machinery, and tools. Performs janitorial duties on equipment and in shop areas.
Stocks and services vehicles to be equipped to respond to emergency situations.
Work nights, weekends, and holidays for extended periods; may be required to perform duties as part of recovery force during emergencies and disasters.

Ability to perform at varying heights above ground, in manholes and/or in confined spaces with proper Personal Protective Equipment.
Must be able to walk, climb and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces, performing mentally/physically demanding work under unfavorable weather conditions while handling equipment or material.
Must be able to work long hours and overtime during holidays, emergencies, weekends, etc. Subject to call out work.
Valid CDL is preferred or willingness to obtain valid CDL within 90 days of employment. If unable to obtain, please discuss this during the interview process.
Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8 or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.
Must be able to drive all vehicles assigned to the line crew, operate digger derrick to set poles and use jackhammer, etc.
Be able to provide proof of work experience, schooling, and any certifications that you have obtained during your career.
Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
Valid Driver’s License is preferred, but can be discussed during the interview process.
