Maintain an interest in food safety matters, actively participate in food safety training and be aware of all the control measures and record keeping for which they are directly responsible.
Report immediately to the immediate supervisor on any concerns that may be observed or realized which may affect food safety.
Maintain waiting list, reservations, and seating chart for entire restaurant throughout service
Maintain all files, logbooks, menus, checks, bill folders, daily newspapers and oversee the hostess desk
Supervise the team of hostesses which involves, organizing wait times, deciding other hostess duties, and directing them where to seat guests
Ensure honesty and integrity in the way tasks are executed and records maintained.
Answer the telephone, speak with anticipated guests that call to inquire about the menu, call ahead seating, wait times, comments/complaints, etc.
Build relationships with repeat guests to develop and drive guest loyalty and maximize revenues
Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and wellbeing of guests
Constantly communicate with the Restaurant Manager as well as all front of the house staff
Greet arriving guests, escort them to their table and provide estimated wait times (if applicable).
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the Restaurant Manager
Contribute to a positive food safety culture and comply with the O&O FSMS & Codex HACCP and Dubai Municipality food safety requirements.
