The Sourcing and Procurement Specialist role at GE Vernova is limited to U.S. citizens and operates in a hybrid model with three on‑site days per week. The position focuses on evaluating and enhancing purchasing activities by analyzing spend, managing the supplier base, and driving improvements in days‑to‑pay, price negotiations, purchase order placement, and supplier qualification. The specialist will also ensure compliance with all GE Power Conversion & Storage policies while delivering optimal overall value, and may travel up to 20% for domestic and international business needs.
Key responsibilities include driving procurement activities for assigned projects across the North American market, conducting RFQs, negotiating pricing and contractual terms, and managing the full procure‑to‑pay cycle. The specialist must maintain strict compliance with U.S. Government and defense procurement regulations, follow up on purchase order acknowledgments and delivery status, and keep the ERP system current. Additional duties involve improving performance metrics such as on‑time delivery and cost savings, developing spend analysis reports, and resolving contractual or supplier disputes in collaboration with legal partners.
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field and have at least two years of commercial sourcing, procurement, and supplier management experience, or one year of experience combined with an MBA or master’s degree. Required skills include proactive negotiation, thorough knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes, strong Microsoft Office expertise (especially Excel formulas, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables), and solid verbal, written, and presentation abilities. Familiarity with SAP, data analysis, and the ability to assess supplier technical capability and capacity are also essential.
The compensation package offers a base salary ranging from $82,900 to $138,200 annually, supplemented by a discretionary 10% performance bonus and potential geographic salary differentials. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage, a health coach, 24/7 nurse support, an Employee Assistance Program, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, tuition and adoption assistance, paid parental leave, disability and life insurance, and generous paid time off.
