Join IMEG as a Structural Engineering New Grad in Austin, TX and start building the foundation of your career with a collaborative, award‑winning team. You will help design structural systems for innovative high‑rises, restored historic landmarks, and community projects. Using Revit and structural analysis software, you’ll support calculations, modeling, and construction documentation while working directly with experienced engineers.
As an entry‑level engineer, you will assist in structural design and analysis across multiple materials, following IMEG standards and applicable codes. You will gather client requirements, communicate technical details, and help maintain relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Your duties include supporting project planning, scheduling, documenting design decisions, and monitoring progress on low‑ to medium‑complexity tasks with senior guidance. You will also ensure quality compliance, stay current on engineering trends, and participate in all phases from construction documents to site observations.
A Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering is required; a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is preferred. Prior internship experience in building design consulting and an Engineering in Training (EIT) license are advantageous. Candidates must understand design techniques for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry, and be proficient with BIM, structural analysis software, and the MS Office suite. Strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and willingness to travel up to 5 % are essential.
