Media Prep Technician

Description

• Manufacture liquid media according to batch records and SOPs with precision.
• Maintain JIRA board to track status, requests, and deliveries of media orders from researchers.
• Perform basic troubleshooting with the team if issues arise or media specifications are not met.
• Maintain an inventory of media components and completed liquid media preparations.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Communicate with requestors regarding media preparation activities, observations, and preparation status.
• Manage a media production schedule within a team environment.

Requirements

• Ensure proficiency in data collection and management.
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work on your feet, standing or walking up to 80% of the shift
• High School diploma plus five years lab experience or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong math skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Fluent in using a computer to access the internet
• Laboratory experience
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Minimum one year experience in Media Prep, preferably in a non-academic setting
• Ability to work independently
