Civil CAD Design Technician III

Description

• Prepare and detail plans by analyzing sketches, notes and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.
• Work from sketches to produce computer‑generated graphs, charts, overlays and isometric drawings including digital terrain models and surfaces.
• Calculate quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates.
• Perform high‑level design computations, earthwork calculations and prepare complete construction plans.
• Determine and calculate stormwater drainage areas and steep slope areas.
• Prepare concept layout plans.
• Perform grading, utility, stormwater and soil erosion/sediment control design.
• Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion.
• Coordinate details and dimensions between drawing sheets.
• Prepare project exhibits.
• Prepare CAD files for authorized media release to external parties/agencies.

Requirements

Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a talented CAD Design Technician III to join our dynamic Civil/Site Discipline in Gilbert, Arizona. This role goes beyond drafting, collaborating directly with engineers, handling advanced design work, and shaping projects from raw survey data to polished CADD drawings.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, an associate degree or technical certificate (preferably AutoCAD), 5+ years of relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office, and strong English communication skills.

• Conform to the company’s standard CADD procedures for layering and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
• Address assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency is increased.
