Description

The Planner/Scheduler role sits within the Operations team and reports to the Customer Support and Delivery Manager, focusing on optimizing and coordinating project schedules to meet operational and client requirements.

• Manage and optimise schedules, to ensure seamless and timely project delivery
• Lead workflow management to ensure all project activities align with NEX Building Group’s delivery targets and strategic timelines.
• Assist the Customer Support and Delivery Manager in automating data to increase efficiency and informed decision making.
• Maximise capacity and performance, using forward forecasts and workload insights to proactively balance demand and resourcing.
• Identify risks early through schedule analysis and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects moving.
• Act as the communication hub across internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment to all scheduling implications.
• Proactively resolve scheduling conflicts, to prevent delays and seamless operational efficiency.
• Monitor progress and trends, reporting key insights to stakeholders, and enable informed, timely decision making across the business.

Requirements

The ideal candidate shares the company’s core values—better together, accountability, people matter, and think bigger—and brings strong scheduling, planning or logistics experience, excellent stakeholder communication, high attention to detail, and advanced Excel skills including Power Query, macros and dashboard creation.

• Strong scheduling, planning, and/or logistics experience, backed by a strong customer service mindset.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, think critically, and resolve issues with a solutions focused approach.
• Confident communication skills with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail, to ensure schedules, data, and outcomes are reliable.
• Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to use Power query, macros and creating dashboards. - Highly regarded
