Sales Manager – C&I Energy Storage

Description

You will help shape our sales strategy, build strong customer relationships, and drive sustainable revenue growth across commercial, industrial, and community energy sectors. This role reports to the General Manager, Senior Management and is suited to someone who is highly proactive, confident in solution-based selling, and experienced in renewable energy and storage project sales.

• Represent the company at industry events, customer visits, conferences, and trade shows.
• Drive sales and business development for C&I BESS and turnkey solar + storage solutions across Australia and New Zealand.
• Develop in-depth understanding of market trends, customer needs, and policy drivers affecting C&I storage and distributed energy.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support successful project delivery and long-term relationships.
• Lead customer negotiations and support development of commercial agreements in collaboration with legal, technical, and commercial teams.
• Support the creation of a broader team, including sales, project management, and O&M functions.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities, leveraging industry relationships and market insights.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, presentations, and pricing strategies.
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline reporting and forecasting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, EPCs, developers, and consultants.

Requirements

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• 5+ years’ experience in sales, business development, or project development within renewable energy, solar, BESS, EPC, or electrical infrastructure sectors.
• Willingness to travel across Australia and New Zealand as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
• Demonstrated success selling technical or turnkey solutions in commercial and industrial customer segments.
• Experience within a multinational organisation or across diverse customer bases is desirable.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growth environment and meet revenue targets.
• Understanding of financial modelling and ROI/investment analysis.
• Travel across Australia and New Zealand as required (approx. 30–40%).
