Estimation Engineer - Fire Protection Systems

Description

• Attend kickoff meetings and adhere to quality, health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
• Collaborate with internal departments to determine related costs and terms.
• Conduct site surveys and generate comprehensive reports.
• Ensure all approvals are obtained and support the DOA approval process if required.
• Seek clarifications from customers or department managers regarding tender specifications.
• Maintain and organize tender-related files, quotations, and documents.
• Prepare risk registers, allocate costs where necessary, and submit structured proposals.
• Participate in technical and commercial negotiations to align with project expectations.
• Organize handovers with the Operations team to ensure seamless execution.
• Engage with sub-vendors and sub-contractors while ensuring compliance with Johnson Controls' policies.
• Analyze quotations from suppliers and estimate costs for materials, engineering, labor, and project management.

Requirements

• Skills & Attributes: Strong negotiation skills, vendor management experience, customer-focused mindset, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Fire Protection Systems.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, local codes, ADNOC requirements, and Oil & Gas industry practices.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD and MS Office Suite.
