Support risk management, insurance requirements, permitting strategies, and ESG-related documentation.
Assist in preparing investment memoranda for executive and board-level review.
Review, draft, and summarize legal documents including purchase and sale agreements, joint-venture agreements, leases, loan documents, easements, title commitments, and development-related contracts.
Work closely with development, construction, finance, and acquisition teams to support project execution and decision-making.
Monitor project compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory obligations.
Oversee legal and regulatory due diligence: title, zoning, environmental reports, entitlements, permits, and land-use requirements.
Build and maintain financial models (DCF, IRR, sensitivity analyses, capital structures).
Assist the COO with strategic planning, operational reporting, and preparation of presentations for investors, lenders, or the board.
Maintain communication with external counsel, government agencies, industry consultants, and JV partners.
Identify and communicate legal risks, obligations, and material issues to the COO for decision-making.
Analyze financial feasibility for prospective acquisitions and development opportunities.
Track project performance versus pro forma assumptions and report variances.
Coordinate closing processes with internal teams, outside counsel, lenders, and partners.
Support negotiations by providing legal interpretations, comparison analyses, and structured recommendations.
Conduct research on land-use laws, zoning ordinances, tax incentives, development regulations, and relevant local/state/federal requirements.
