Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Description

• Train and mentor junior members in the team & technicians.
• Develop next-generation vehicle systems and solutions that push the limits of specialty vehicles.
• Test various engineering disciplines including, electrical, hardware, mechanical, fluid systems and more.
• Fabricate prototypes and produce parts using hands on skills.
• Managing the full project life-cycle from the design of a vehicle through to production process for customers.

Requirements

This role is ideal for a motivated individual ready to take full ownership of subsystem development; from whiteboard concepts and CAD design to manufacturing, testing, and post-sale improvements. This role offers a rare chance to work across multiple product lines and have end-to-end impact on innovative vehicle systems in a very fast paced and small team environment.

• Experience in a start-up environment and has ideally worked in a few organizations.
• Comfortable to be onsite 5 days a week.
• Ideally coming from an automotive background or aerospace.
• 7+ years’ experience working in a design environment with a proven track record of shipping products to customers.
• Experience with Siemens NX and CAD software.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
