8‑month civil engineering internship in Vancouver, supporting bridges and infrastructure projects

Tasks

-Participate in local Lunch and Learns, Hatch Charity Events, the triannual Student Showcase, and more to develop your skills. -Join in charitable, social, and sports activities with other Hatch employees. -Follow up with design team members. -Collaborate with diverse teams locally and globally. -Track progress of Inspection and Testing Plans, Nonconformance Reports, Redline drawings received, Record Drawings produced etc. -Review technical information incoming from the construction teams: test reports, construction checklists, survey files etc. -Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions -Review redlines and as built construction information for completeness.

What You Bring

-Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects. -Minimum 2nd year student in a Civil Engineering degree program at an accredited University. -Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges. -Experience with municipal infrastructure, utility coordination, geotechnical field work, and construction is an asset. -Experience in development of project layouts and civil details -Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving and brings forward solutions for our clients' toughest challenges. -Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
