Key duties include assisting MaineDOT in managing and using the CORS/RTN network, establishing relevant coordinates, supporting the transition to NSRS datum modernization with workflow recommendations, and scanning paper copies of field books, plans, and other documents into the agency’s documentation software.
Ideal candidates will have experience managing and implementing Maine’s CORS/RTN network, knowledge of coordinate generation, strong communication and coordination abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems. Prior work with state transportation agencies, especially MaineDOT, is preferred.
The role is a professional individual contributor working under general supervision, handling challenging but manageable problems, and influencing peers by explaining facts, policies, and practices. It offers the opportunity to contribute to MaineDOT’s CORS/RTN network and NSRS datum modernization initiatives.
