Description

• Execute signature programs in dining, fitness, wellness, and care
• Utilize financial and legal services offered by the company
• Respond promptly and kindly to resident needs while maintaining dignity and confidentiality
• Read and follow care plans to ensure proper resident care
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, and toileting activities
• Help residents select meals, serve, eat, clear dishes, and deliver room trays as needed
• Transport residents safely, assisting with bed, wheelchair, and other movements
• Perform regular safety checks on residents
• Encourage resident participation in daily chores like bed making and laundry
• Lead residents in meaningful and enriching activities
• Clean, do laundry, and support other community tasks as assigned
• Manage oxygen tanks and concentrators per medical orders
• Chart and document information, including incident reports, and notify supervisors of condition changes
• Respond to resident alerts and emergencies using walkie‑talkies
• Ensure resident safety and comfort during fire drills and other safety procedures
• Maintain a positive, professional image in line with MBK core values
• Promote teamwork through open communication with coworkers and other departments
• Follow MBK policies regarding meal breaks and rest periods
• Complete health screening and provide a recent negative TB test
• Meet all state-specific regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Demonstrate effective time management to complete resident assignments each shift
• Display tact and friendliness when interacting with residents, families, and guests
• Be at least 18 years old with proper work authorization
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
• Nurse Aid certification preferred
• Current first aid certification required
• Pass required background clearances
• Prior caregiving experience preferred; on‑the‑job training available
• Read and speak English fluently
• Follow oral and written directions effectively
• Interact effectively with people of diverse ages and backgrounds
• Be mobile and capable of kneeling, squatting, overhead reaching, and bending
• Lift 40+ pounds and push 150 pounds unassisted

The full-time AM Caregiver position is based at MuirWoods Memory Care in Petaluma, California, with a schedule of Friday through Monday, 6:00 am‑2:30 pm, and an hourly wage of $21.00‑$22.50. Caregivers support residents in daily living activities, follow individualized care plans, and ensure safety and dignity while responding promptly to resident needs.
