In this role you will design and deliver water and sediment quality assessments that safeguard ecosystems and meet regulatory standards. You will lead field programs for baseline studies, aquatic effects monitoring, and mine‑closure projects across Western Canada. You will analyze and interpret complex datasets to inform decisions on multi‑million‑dollar projects, and collaborate with biologists, toxicologists, geochemists, and hydrologists to secure environmental permits and approvals. You will also mentor emerging professionals and contribute to a culture of learning and technical excellence.
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Water Resources, with at least six years of water‑quality experience. Professional registration as a Biologist, Chemist, or Engineer, or eligibility for registration, is an asset.
Health and safety is a core value; all employees must comply with WSP’s HSE policy and client HSE policies. Field‑work positions require the ability to perform key physical tasks, work in remote or isolated areas, and handle inclement weather within safe limits.
