POSITION OVERVIEW Responsible for pre-finishing doors using paint or stain in a spray booth in accordance with customer specifications and established company quality standards. Adherence to company policies, rules, and regulations in all areas is required, including but not limited to environmental, health, safety, and security. - Ensure stains and paints are applied correctly and meet established quality standards.
- Notify the supervisor of equipment malfunctions or issues.
- Work in a spray booth and ensure proper application of paint or stain in accordance with company guidelines and customer specifications.
- Inspect all finished products for defects or irregularities and perform touch-ups as necessary.
- Clean tools thoroughly after use to maintain functionality and safety.
- Remove dust from doors using tack cloth and air gun as necessary prior to staining or painting.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety.
- Sign off and complete appropriate paperwork at the completion of each job.
- Communicate with fellow employees as necessary to monitor and direct workload to ensure smooth operation and proper product flow.
- Carefully inspect doors for defects and irregularities prior to staining or painting.
- Maintain accurate paint inventory, using older stock before newer stock, and report discrepancies.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

- Basic analytical, reasoning, and math abilities.
- Familiarity with door components, assembly techniques, and finishing products.
- Comfortable wearing a mask and other protective equipment for safety while working with paint and stain.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and consistency.
- Technical expertise and knowledge of company products.
- Automotive spray gun experience is required.
- Basic verbal communication skills.
- High School diploma or GED and two years of related experience in painting or staining with spray equipment.
