Develop project-specific test scripts including Level 2 Installation Verification Checklists, Level 4 Functional Performance Tests (FPT), and Level 5 Integrated Systems Tests (IST).
Effectively coordinate with general contractors, sub-contractors, vendors and the owner verbally and in writing.
Conduct onsite execution and witnessing of tests.
Manage the resolution of Commissioning Issues.
Perform periodic Site Observation Visits during construction and preparing Site Observation Reports.
Perform reviews of submittals and shop drawings.

Travel: Frequent travel is required within the provinces of Ontario and Quebec.

We are searching for a Commissioning Manager (Electrical) to work internally with our VSC Cx Team and externally with other Project Team Members to successfully deliver a fully commissioned building to our clients. This opportunity is a fully remote position and will require approximately 50-70% travel, locally and nationally, to commissioning sites.

Field experience is preferred.
Valid driver’s license and car required for travel in Ontario.
Knowledge of Building Automation Systems is a plus.
Comfortable working around live components, three phase AC Power Systems, Direct Current (DC) power systems, and fire alarm systems.
Experience in design and/or construction of hyperscale Data Centers required.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5+ years of equivalent MEP construction, commissioning and project management experience.
OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A high-level understating of engineering knowledge, specifically in the built environment.
Respond thoughtfully and effectively to sensitive situations.
Intermediate analytical skills able be able to analyze relevant information and provide thoughtful solutions.
Knowledge and understanding of equipment and systems Sequences of Operations development and documentation for functional test scripts.
OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety is not required but preferred.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Cx Design reviews including OPR, BOD, Plans and Specifications.
Experience and detailed knowledge of Medium Voltage (MV) Gear, Generators, Switchgear, UPS Systems, Static Transfer Switches (STS) and Power Distribution Unit (PDU) operation, as well as LOTO requirements.
Equipment start-up and commissioning experience (witnessing contractor activation and functional testing of equipment and systems using functional test scripts)
Ability to read construction drawings.
Professional Engineering License preferred.
NFPE-70E is Required
Certification in Building Commissioning preferred.
