This includes facilitating goal setting, and establishing and managing project work plans for self and junior team members across design and/or construction.
Support the training, development, and growth of junior team members.
Research the latest advances in sustainable technologies for general building design, construction, and specialised manufacturing processes.
Represent the IPS Sustainability function on capital projects.
Manage design teams and deliverables for rating systems like LEED and/or BREEAM.
Undertake LEED and/or BREEAM Assessments across commercial & industrial schemes from feasibility through to final commissioning.
Collaborate with project teams to identify opportunities and feasibility for sustainable design, construction, and operational strategies. Focus areas include energy/emissions, water, materials, waste, and health & wellbeing.
Must conduct oneself with an uncompromising commitment to the welfare of our clients and each other. Must act in an ethical, professional, and respectful manner at all times.
Organise information in a collaborative, knowledge-sharing fashion, collecting and developing lessons learned and case studies.

Experience with Revit and other CAD tools
10+ years of industry experience in design, engineering, consulting, project management, or construction.
Must be able to effectively interact with varying tiers of the company, from project teams to senior leadership.
7+ years of experience in a Sustainability-focused role.
Be a strong subject matter expert for at least several relevant focus areas (i.e., energy, waste management, materials, civil, etc.).
WELL AP or Fitwel Ambassador
Enthusiastic and resilient, innovative and technically grounded.
To hold/working towards Chartership (CEng or CEnv) with CIBSE, IMechE, IEMA or equivalent.
Be a generalist in the broad topics that Sustainability influences in the built environment, but have sufficient basic technical knowledge to manage quantitative deliverables.
Understand and apply current and proposed Sustainability-related legislation (Building and Planning regulations)
Must display creativity and innovation by continually working to improve solutions, tools, methods, and service delivery system.
Experience in the life sciences or manufacturing/industrial sectors.
Master’s Degree in a related field, or relevant advanced training
Experience in waste management and infrastructure.
Strong written and verbal skills, able to communicate in a concise, clear, and compelling manner (role will be client-facing).
Experience in energy analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Energy modeling experience
Must exhibit the ability to build and sustain long-term relationships of mutual value through teamwork.
Ravel duration, if any, is based on the frequency of relevant conferences or meetings with key company and/or client stakeholders.
LEED/BREEAM Assessor - Minimum of five projects completed through to certification.
Experience in evaluating sustainable material attributes.
