- Support DV/PV testing (foam compression, durability, function, comfort) and analyze results for compliance.
- Serve as customer-facing technical contact for design reviews, warranty topics, and validation updates.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Development, and Program Management for production/launch readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement in seat assembly, foam/urethane molding, and product quality.
- Participate in prototypes, pre-production, and launches; track and close issues using standard metrics.
- Analyze field returns and warranty claims to identify trends and implement permanent fixes.
- Prepare APQP/PPAP deliverables (DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, process flows).
- Investigate and resolve non-conforming/rejected seating components via root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Review CAD and drawings for feasibility, manufacturability, and tolerance stack-ups.
- Provide timely feedback to DREs, product engineers, and plant leaders to drive design improvements and closure.

- Knowledge of seat assembly, foam molding, trim, structure, and mechanisms
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of seat comfort, ergonomics, and occupant safety.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methods.
- Familiar with quality tools (8D, 5-Why, FMEA, Fishbone)
- Experience with Tier-1 automotive suppliers in seating or interiors.
- Proficient in CATIA V5 or NX; experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter, ENOVIA)
- Exposure to warranty systems, field issue analysis, and launch support.
- Ability to interpret DV/PV test results
- Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and process flows
- 3 years in automotive seating, interior systems, product engineering (OEM or Tier-1)
- Experience in launch and production support (prototypes and issue resolution)
- Comfortable working in both plant and office environments
