The Material Handler/Forklift Driver is responsible for delivering all required materials to each department before they are needed. This role ensures that production lines receive raw materials on schedule and that supplies arrive in the correct quantities.
Key responsibilities include operating forklift equipment safely, moving raw materials to assigned production lines, and placing materials in designated areas according to pick lists. The employee must verify all parts, check off delivered items before shift end, communicate with supervisors, multitask according to daily schedules, and keep the inventory management system updated in real time. Periodic audits are performed to verify inventory accuracy, and any material damage or discrepancies are reported to the Inventory Analyst team.

Candidates need Microsoft Office proficiency, forklift experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent; safety certifications and a valid US driver’s license are preferred. The role also demands strong computer literacy with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Sage), analytical problem‑solving, knowledge of inventory and production processes, and experience with sheet metal, hardware, electronics, and shop tools. Physical fitness for frequent lifting, walking, and standing, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing schedules, is essential.
