Tax Manager

Description

The Tax Manager manages all aspects of tax compliance and processing. This role involves managing VAT, Corporate tax compliance, and any related audits, as well as providing strategic tax planning advice to minimize the company's tax liabilities.

• Manage the Tax registration process for the company and any related entities. Monitor changes in company operations that may require amendments to the tax registration details.
• Responsible for managing and monitoring team's performance, setting clear targets and implementing professional development initiatives to ensure continuous growth and success within the team
• Develop and implement Tax strategies to optimize the company's Tax position, including recovery of input VAT and minimization of output VAT, Utilization of available tax credits, exemption and reliefs for corporate tax etc. Provide advice on the Tax implications of new business activities, contracts, and transactions.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of Tax returns to the Tax Authority as per UAE Tax law. Oversee and review the preparation of VAT returns and CT returns, ensuring correct calculations of tax amounts payable.
• Manage the system enhancements and process re-engineering because of VAT and CT implementation. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of VAT and CT reporting systems and software. Ensure that financial systems are configured correctly to handle VAT and CT calculations and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to support tax-related decisions. Communicate effectively with external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities. Present tax analysis and recommendations to senior management.
• Prepare and analyze tax budgets and forecasts. Collaborate with the finance team to integrate tax planning into the overall financial strategy. Provide tax-related insights for financial modeling and investment decisions.
• Manage and oversee tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all tax returns. Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax positions and minimize tax liabilities.
• Lead tax audits and respond to tax authorities’ inquiries and notices. Develop internal controls to monitor tax compliance and mitigate risks. Conduct regular reviews and audits of tax processes and transactions to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Offer guidance to internal departments on all tax matters, ensuring all business activities comply with tax regulations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in Tax reporting and compliance. Stay updated on technological advancements that could streamline Tax filing processes.

Requirements

• Experience in Tax filing and processing in UAE.
• Post Degree Certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA or equivalent professional certification
• 10-15 Years Finance and Accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field
