Shipping Loader Operator

Description

• Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities in equipment use or material handling
• Works closely with production, shipping, safety, and environmental staff to ensure aligned operations
• Maintains cleanliness inside and outside of equipment to ensure optimal visibility and control
• Completes and reports detailed daily equipment inspections to identify maintenance needs
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
• Organizes and maintains well-structured and blended stockpiles, reducing cross-contamination and increasing loader efficiency
• Organizes and maintains quarry roads, berms and other site maintenance items
• Loads material on to customer delivery trucks in a timely manner to prioritize truck turn around times and customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Required Work Experience: 1 to 2 years’ experience operating a Loader is required.
• Required Technical Skills: Knowledge of Loader and other heavy equipment operation. Knowledge of road construction materials is an asset
• Required Work Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience within the construction/mining industry
• Education: High School Diploma, Valid Driver’s license
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
