Service Technician Valves & Actuators

Description

• Perform torque verification, calibration, and positioner setup on relevant equipment
• Replace or repair internal valve components, seals, gears, limit switches, wiring, and mechanical linkages
• Follow all company safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, confined space guidelines, and jobsite safety rules
• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on butterfly valves, plug valves, gate valves, knife gate valves, and other valve types
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and job hazard analyses
• Conduct field inspections, operational testing, and start-ups for new installations
• Maintain accurate logs of parts used, time spent, and job status updates
• Use proper PPE and ensure safe operation of tools, hoisting equipment, and test instruments
• Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other digital tools
• Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and supervisors to provide updates and technical explanations
• Service, troubleshoot, and calibrate electric actuators (AUMA, Limitorque, Rotork) and pneumatic actuators

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, low-voltage electrical circuits, and industrial equipment troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Ability to use multimeters, torque tools, hand tools, and calibration equipment
• Valid driver’s license
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, valve drawings, and technical manuals
• Comfortable working in industrial environments, including confined spaces, elevated platforms, and variable weather conditions
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work with tools for extended periods
• 2+ years of experience working with valves or actuators (electric and/or pneumatic) preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Comfortable traveling to job sites
