Deckhand

Description

• Coordinating and oversight of external trades for specialised repairs and servicing
• Waxing exterior surfaces and polishing stainless-steel fittings
• Flushing outboard motors and ensuring proper care of jet skis and tenders
• Ensuring vessels are safe, operational and always ready for use
• Washing, polishing, and maintaining all external glass
• Cleaning, treating, and maintaining teak decking surfaces
• Keeping detailed maintenance logs and scheduling required services or trades
• Conducting regular engine room cleaning
• Performing thorough exterior washdowns across all vessels
• Maintaining and troubleshooting auxiliary systems including: Water purification units, Air conditioning, Satellite navigation, Generators and other electrical/mechanical systems
• Assisting with vessel refits and yard maintenance work

Requirements

• Previous detailing experience (preferred but not essential)
• Experience on or around yachts, with a genuine love for the ocean
• A 70-foot Sunreef sailing catamaran and Smuggler tender
• Three jet skis and associated marine equipment
• Deckhand duties across all vessels, predominantly sailing
• A valid Boat Licence (desirable) and Australian Driver's Licence
• A 100-foot Horizon superyacht and Zodiac tender
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
• Unique sailing and boating experiences, both locally and abroad
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• A 50-foot racing catamaran
