Create and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings, and perform calculations and simulations to validate design concepts and ensure system reliability.
Conduct design reviews and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of designs, implementing best practices and lessons learned from previous projects to improve design processes.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design efficiency and quality and provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases of projects.
Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and test procedures, maintain accurate records of design changes, decisions, and project milestones, and generate and review bill of materials (BOM) for project components.
Collaborate with primary systems design engineers, civil engineers, and other project team members, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to gather requirements and ensure design feasibility.
Develop detailed designs for substation secondary systems, including protection, control, and communication systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
