Head of Research And Development (Nutraceuticals)

The Head of R&D & Innovation will lead the end-to-end product development process, from strategy and formulation design to regulatory compliance, stability testing, and scale-up. This high-impact role allows you to shape the company’s scientific and innovation direction from day one.

• Research, design, and prototype clean-label products across powders, capsules, RTDs, and mixes.
• Own the formulations vertical, building a product pipeline that aligns with the company’s vision.
• Integrate traditional actives (Ayurvedic, TCM, etc.) with modern clinical science where relevant.
• Ensure compliance with UAE/GCC and international standards (GMP, HACCP, Halal, FDA, etc.).
• Collaborate with founders, supply chain, marketing, and other teams to translate science into actionable products.
• Build and mentor a lean R&D team and external scientific network.
• Source traceable, tested ingredients and ensure evidence-backed efficacy.

Requirements

• Familiarity with UAE/GCC regulatory frameworks is a plus.
• 15+ years of experience in nutraceuticals or supplement formulations, with at least 5 in leadership roles.
• Deep understanding of ingredient synergies, delivery systems, and bioavailability.
• Entrepreneurial mindset — able to thrive in ambiguity and build from zero.
• Proven track record in clean-label, evidence-backed product development.
• MSc or Phd in Nutraceuticals, Food Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or related field.
