Tax Accountant

Tasks

-Provide updates on tax legislative changes -Research and analyze tax laws, planning strategies and other tax issues -Accumulate, analyze and process financial accounting data to prepare tax returns, tax return workpapers, estimated tax payments and tax provision workpapers -Assist with various special projects and other administrative items -Assist with federal and state income tax audits including the preparation of responses to audit inquiries and notices -Update job knowledge by participating in continuing educational opportunities and reading professional publications -Prepare other non-income tax filings -Organize and maintain records of EFTP's -Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company -Work with divisions and other departments to distribute and gather documentation for tax return filings -Perform detail review of general ledger accounts

What You Bring

-Master's degree; Big 4 CPA firm experience; CPA Certification or actively pursuing -Able to travel overnight -Strong verbal and written communications skills; work well under pressure to meet deadlines; ability to work independently, multi-task and provide attention to detail -Ability to accurately and efficiently process and record large volumes of data -Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; or two plus years of experience and/or related training
