Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant Community Manager helps oversee all operational phases of the property to ensure customer satisfaction, fiscal stability, and proper physical condition. Key duties include assisting the GM, managing rent collection, handling leasing and resident relations, and maintaining accurate financial and property records.
- Assist the General Manager with property operations and decision‑making
- Collect rent, post receipts, make daily bank deposits, and follow up on delinquencies
- Process NSF checks, evictions, and turn over bad debts for collection
- Report income collection to the Property Accountant
- Support leasing activities and maintain resident relations
- Answer telephones and plan resident social activities
- Inspect move‑outs and schedule units for turnover
- Verify lease information and ensure accurate weekly leasing reports
- Maintain primary records of income and expenses in the computer system
- Pay property bills, forward cash disbursement journals, and verify invoices against purchase orders
- Update and post security deposits, process refunds and forfeitures
- General maintenance, audit, and filing of property records

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with preferred certifications such as IREM Accredited Residential Manager or BOMA Certified Apartment Manager. A valid driver’s license, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and preferably knowledge of Entrata are required, along with strong customer service, communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
