  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulatory bodies, trade organizations, and other stakeholders in the building and construction sector.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and execute a public affairs strategy for Australia and New Zealand in alignment with global priorities and local market needs.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and public forums, showcasing our Healthy Buildings Agenda and positioning VELUX as a front runner in the sustainable building landscape.
  • Policy Advocacy: Advocate for changes to building codes, energy regulations, and other relevant legislation to align with the company’s goals and product innovations.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Track legislative and regulatory developments, providing insights and recommendations to the local and global leadership teams.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teams in our global organization, including Global and Local Public Affairs, External Communications, Group Sustainability, Product Regulatory Affairs as well as local sales, marketing, and technical experts.
