Barocal
Develops solid‑state, zero‑GWP refrigerant materials for ultra‑efficient heating and cooling systems.
Design, develop, and test solid-state cooling/heating systems
Customer & Supplier Engagement: Collaborate with customers and suppliers to ensure customer requirements and specifications are met or exceeded, and that Barocal’s quality, performance and delivery requirements are adhered to by suppliers.
Experimental Design and Execution: Design and carry out experiments to validate the performance of advanced prototypes in lab and real-world conditions.
Project Management: Manage own projects and sub-projects and potentially the work of others as part of a team, to ensure Barocal’s overall objectives are met and that projects stay on track.
System Design: Design and develop components, subsystems and systems which enhance the functionality and efficiency of Barocal's innovative cooling solutions.
CAD Drawing: Utilise CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings, ensuring precision in design and adherence to industry standards.
Manufacturing Engineering: Drive projects that enhance product efficiency, functionality, cost-effectiveness and manufacturability.

Experience: 3+ years of achievement in an industrial or R&D environment.
Education: 2.1 or 1st Class Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Thermal Engineering, or a related discipline. A PhD in a related field is a plus.
Practical Skills: Demonstrable capability and aptitude in practical engineering tasks and engineering problem solving including building and operating lab or industrial equipment..
