Safety Specialists collaborate with field staff, clients, subcontractors, and management throughout all phases of electric construction projects, ensuring strict adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulations while fostering positive professional relationships. This role is location‑based, covering worksites across the assigned project area and requires varying amounts of travel.
The position involves regular site visits to observe and document safety behaviors, coordinating site‑specific safety plans, participating in project meetings, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and occupational health regulations. Safety Specialists also coach personnel, conduct behavior‑based observations, and support incident investigations and corrective actions.
Ideal candidates possess at least two years of EHS experience, a high school diploma or GED, and preferably a safety certification such as CSHO, CHST, SMS, SSH, or CSP. Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a solid understanding of OSHA regulations and electric construction practices are essential.
