The position will be part of a team supporting a client with a large campus in the Tysons/McLean area. Design management includes new builds, refreshes, remodels, renovations, right‑sizing, relocations, rollouts, and concept test projects within the Real Estate and Property Development Department. The role handles small to mid‑sized quick‑turnaround projects ranging from 100 to 5,000 SF each. It also serves as the liaison between the client and the architecture firm.
Coordinates project teams to ensure timely completion of documents and develops the overall design for each project. Produces detailed drawings—from schematic design through design development, permitting, pricing, and construction documents. Presents concepts to clients, secures approvals, and manages the design process for internal activities and external vendors. Establishes and monitors adherence to project budgets.
Manages overall client relationships from initial needs assessment through design concept presentations to final project delivery. Reviews engineering drawings for compliance with design solutions and works with technical staff to resolve inconsistencies. Provides furniture layouts, selections, specifications, and coordinates FFE quotations with dealers. Obtains client approval and integrates decisions into the overall design.
Produces, reviews, and finalizes space plans, signage specifications, and branding packages. Applies extensive detailing expertise to finalize project details. Delivers comprehensive design and furniture packages while ensuring budget adherence and promptly reporting any variances.

We are searching for a Designer or Senior Designer for our Washington, D.C. studio and a confidential client. The Designer is responsible for leading all design phases for interior projects, establishing the vision, leading the team, and having extensive client interaction.
A graduate of architecture, design, or business (or equivalent experience) and at least six years of design project experience are required. The role follows a hybrid schedule, working on the client campus Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and remote on Monday and Friday. Successful candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred software includes AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Acrobat, and the MS Office Suite. Advanced Revit and Adobe Creative Suite skills, as well as proficiency with Affinity programs or equivalents, are also required.
Extensive knowledge is expected in design principles, aesthetics, space‑planning methodology, furnishings, finishes, interior architecture detailing, construction documents, building systems, codes, ADA requirements, and contract administration.
Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and graphic communication skills are essential.
