Download, maintain, and verify accuracy of project survey data and manage survey database. Review survey production and final products, processed data collection, and field notes for quality control.
Lead CAD Techs in preparing plans and plats describing in detail the surveys performed.
Maintain professional and productive working relationships with all clients and coworkers.
Operate a company vehicle and observe safety and security procedures.
Complete boundary reductions and mapping/topographic field reductions in CAD/survey software.
Research historic maps, land records, previous surveys, and land title reports
Perform complex survey duties associated with construction stakeout and boundary, topographic, and as built surveys.
Mentor and assist in training junior staff members.

LS License required.
Problem solving techniques.
6 years of experience minimum required, 7 preferred, in the Surveying Construction Industry.
Possesses oral and written communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of land surveying operations, computations, principles and practices.
Proficient in on-site office operation, office workflow processes and problem-solving techniques.
Knowledge and ability to deal with public and governmental agencies, manage field crews, and schedule equipment and supplies.

Proficiency with survey computations, staking/control exhibits, and survey crew instructions for construction staking and field survey projects.
Advanced understanding of survey operations and identification of potential problems.
Proficient with AutoCAD C3D, survey, GPS, MS Office software.
Knowledge for the operation and assistance of operation of GPS equipment, total stations, levels, data collectors and other survey equipment.
Valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by IMEG carrier.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering plans and construction documents.
Bachelor’s of Science (BS) or Associates Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required.
Ability to effectively communicate with clients, officials, contractors, coworkers and professionally represent IMEG.
