- Establish and enforce architectural principles, standards, and best practices
- Develop the long-term architectural strategy for the Public Safety portfolio aligned with business goals and market trends.
- Act as a solution bridge between technical product teams, product management, and executive leadership
- Ensure chosen technologies support scalability, performance, and reliability
- Assess and recommend technologies, tools, frameworks, and platforms
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational standards
- Ensure that all public safety products are interoperable and meet performance expectations
- Lead technical due diligence for vendor and tool selection
- Identify architectural risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Ensure architectural consistency across public safety products, platforms, and technologies
- Review and approve designs and technology choices across teams

- Experience in techniques for data warehousing and analytics. Experience with Snowflake is required.
- Experience in designing and implementing highly scalable cloud-based solutions.
- Experience in designing and implementing highly usable software with modern Web-based and mobile UI technologies.
- Experience with applying AI or Generative AI technologies in software products.
- 10+ years of experience required in an architect or engineering leadership position.
- Experience architecting and implementing public safety enterprise solutions.
- Hands-on experience with a wide variety of modern software development, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure frameworks, and the ability to explain the pros and cons of each to achieve business goals. Experience with cloud services and solution architecture. Experience with Azure is a significant plus.
- 15+ years of overall software engineering experience are required.
- B.S. degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related degrees.
